What a week! The temperature is finally dropping!!! I can’t wait to fish all day long in jeans and a t-shirt! The crappie have been biting in 10ft-18ft on live minnows in brushpiles. We will continue to see the crappie bite increase while the temperature drops. Although the bass fishing has been tough, the cooler temperature will push them into1ft-5ft in the back of coves and creeks. Rattle traps, crankbaits, and top water lures will be fall best lures! Week of 9-21
The last seven days has been one for the books! The bass have been productive throughout the day, peak in the afternoons/evenings in the back of coves and creeks. Shaky heads with plum ribbon tail worms and crawfish along with shallow crankbaits have been productive! The crappie have been very active. Monday I had 40 keepers on live minnows fished oft the bottom in 10ft-16ft brushpiles!
