October Fishing Report

October was a great month for fishing! Although we had several transitioning days with cooler temperatures moving through, we still caught plenty of fish! The bass started moving shallow as they began lowering the lake to winter pool. With the cooler temperatures at night the bait starting migrating shallow. Crankbaits and topwater lures were very productive for us. As for the crappie…they have been consistent in brushpiles in 2ft-20ft. Live minnows were the most productive for us, but jigs started to become more active the last week of the month!
