October 2022 Fishing Report

October was a fun month! Wind blown pockets and coves with shad offered exciting bass fishing action!  As the water level dropped the quality bass moved aggressively into shallow water and hugged boulder rocks in hunt for crawfish and shad.

The crappie fishing was good as well!  Livebait and jigs(finally) in orange/chartreuse near brushpiles 8-22ft was the ticket. As the water dropped a portion of crappie moved into shallow water while others begin to move out to the channel for some amazing standing timber fishing!

The hybrids were also starting to school up and chase bait in the main channel. This time of year you can put up the live bait and start casting artificial lures to catch these monster fish!
