The water level is half a foot above summer pool and the fish are starting to bite more consistently in deeper water. The water temperature ranges between 69-72 degrees. The bass are finishing up their spawn. Some big girls are still being caught shallow, but the deeper bite has started to turn on. Drops, ledges and humps in 4ft-8ft have been successful depth. The most productive shallow baits have been Texas rig plastic crawfish, worms, and crankbaits! The crappie are finishing up their spawn as well. However, we are still seeing a lot of crappie with eggs. The crappie are being caught shallow on stake beds and in deep (12ft-18ft) brushpiles! Both live minnows and Crappie Magnets have been producing.
