July 2022 Fishing Report

July was a great month for BCGS and our customers. The crappie have been biting well on the upper end of the lake in 10ft-14ft while the lower end has been pumping out the largest crappie in 20ft-22ft. Live minnows have been the best producers 2ft-4ft off the bottom in brushpiles.

The bass have been biting well for us on the upper end of the lake early in the morning!  With the recent flash floods there has been a lot of current in the main channel….forcing the bass on the flats! These bass are feeding on shad and our topwater baits.  Also, mid and down lake has been productive from 4ft-12ft on plastic worms, crankbaits, jigs, and chatterbaits!
