July fishing is heating up…literally and figuratively!!! Recently the bass, crappie, and hybrids have been biting well! The bass have been biting most days on topwater lures, buzzbaits, swimbaits, crankbaits, hair jigs, and soft plastics in 1-5ft and on humps and points in 10-16ft! The hot days can be tough at times, but when you dial in the fishing has been good! The crappie have been biting good in brushpiles in 16-20ft. Live bait has been the ticket 2-3ft off the bottom. The upper end is offering shorter crappie while down lake is producing more keepers! Lastly, the hybrid have been biting well in the middle of the day.
