The last few weeks the fishing has been pretty good. We have had some tough days in the August heat, but we have had many active days as well! The bass have been biting on topwater baits early in the morning and soft plastics mid day! The upper end of the lake has been the best for us, however some larger fish have came from mid and down lake. The crappie have been biting on live minnows in brushpiles in 13ft-20ft up and mid lake. Jigs have been really difficult for us to put keepers in the livewell. Minnows typically do best at the end of the summer. Can’t wait until it cools down and fishing ramps up even more!
