Pro Bass/Crappie Guide

My name is Brian Carper. I am 39 years old and live in Murfreesboro, TN. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Jennifer, for 13 years. We have 2 wonderful girls, Emma (9) and Anna Kate (7). Ever since I was a little boy the Lord has given me a passion for fishing. While wrapping up college at MTSU I decided to go into business as a fishing guide. With God’s help and hard work I have gone from gluing homemade flyers on pizza boxes at Little Caesars to near 600 trips a year with several employees! 2021 will be our 17th year in business. I look forward to serving the Nashville market another year and creating memorable trips for our clients.

Arnie Shanklin

Pro Crappie Guide

My name is Arnie Shanklin and I live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Erika for 25 years and we’ve been blessed to have four kids Jaylyn, Jevon, Julian, and Jazmyn. I started fishing around the age of five or six. My dad has always had a boat so it was always something we did together. My dad is from Kentucky and grew up on a farm. One of the things we used to do is fish farm ponds in the summer for bass. I think that’s where I truly grasped the skill set and techniques of casting to catch fish. From there, it went from bass to crappie. I am an accomplished fisherman. I have honed my fishing skills over the past 40+ years with the assistance of many mentors in Crappie fishing, mainly my father. I regularly fish and study techniques to stay abreast of new developments in the industry. I always continue to advance any knowledge and skill through research and implementation of techniques of professional fisherman and mentors. Peace and blessings.

Pro Bass Guide

I grew up fishing in the swamps of southern Louisiana. Catching anything was just fine until I caught my first largemouth bass. After that fight was over is when it all changed for me. I then found myself riding my bike to a nearby pond or into the creek after school or every chance I had to try and catch another one. I moved to middle Tennessee in 1988 and continued to follow my passion / obsession for bass fishing and began fishing local tournaments. After a few years I began fishing bigger tournament trails. I then found myself qualifying for the Southern regional championships and after a 5th place finish there that qualified me to fish a National event. What an exciting experience that was. I always enjoy helping and teaching others what has taken me years to learn and to watch them experience the thrill of what I have been blessed to experience on a regular basis which is catching fish.

Billy Harris

Pro Bass Guide

I grew up in a small town, Mt. Meridian Indiana. Growing up it was my mom that really was the person that got me started fishing. I started with pan fish in local strip pits around Linton, IN. I grew up with hearing and ear problems so I was never really allowed to swim. So as my brothers and sisters would go swimming my mom put a rod in my hand and I fished and fished and fished. She says I would cry when it was time to go home. Growing up I would do anything to go fishing. I continued my love of fishing and really started bass fishing with a competitive desire. I currently have the Old Hickory Lake Smallmouth record, 6lbs 14oz giant which I caught back in 2008. Some of my accomplishments are four year running F3 Club champion, South Fork NC Bassmaster 3 wins and two runner up angler of year. I also fished several years in the BASS weekend series with two national championship qualifiers, 7th place Regional finish in 2009 at Old Hickory, 10 place KY Series Elite series co-angler and numerous top 10 finishes. I have over 10 years’ experience fishing lakes in TN, AL, KY and NC. I admit my favorite lake in TN is J. Percy Priest. However I love fishing Center Hill, Old Hickory, KY Lake, Tims Ford and about any other lake I can get on. I enjoy teaching others what I know. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have nothing to hide and freely will help a friend or stranger. Of course none of this would be possible without the loving support of my beautiful wife, Grace. If you want to thank me, that’s great, but I will pass the thanks on to her for putting up with me and making it all possible.
