March is wrapping up and the crappie are still coming in hot!!! We are catching crappie shallow in spawning coves and creeks in addition to mid and down lake in the main channel in 30ft-55ft. The bass seem to be a couple weeks behind although the water temperature is perfect. I think the in consistent weather and water levels are contributors. Nevertheless, we are catching bass in shallow creeks and windy coves with topwater lures, crankbaits, and rattle traps! The calendar is filling up faster than EVER BEFORE! Now is the time to reserve your trip!
Currently the crappie are on FIRE, bass are biting GOOD, and hybrid are feeding on the upper end of the lake! The crappie are being caught on Crappie Magnets in 20ft-45ft of water, the hybrid are in the main channel up lake, and the bass are biting Alabama Rigs, jerkbaits, and shad raps throughout the lake in 3-12ft. We are starting to put TONS of ink on the calendar for March and April…… reserve your trip today!
