“The water level is still 3ft below summer pool and the fish have been biting! The water temperature ranges between 69-72 degrees. The bass are finishing up their spawn. Some big girls are still being caught shallow, but the deeper bite has started to turn on. Drops, ledges and humps in 4ft-12ft have been successful areas. The most productive shallow baits have been Texas rig plastic crawfish, worms, and topwater plugs! The crappie are finishing up their spawn as well, however we are still seeing a lot of crappie with eggs. The crappie are being caught shallow on stake beds and deep (12ft-18ft) brushpiles! The crappie have been biting VERY well on the upper end of the lake and the bass have been chomping surface plugs! March is my favorite month to crappie and bass fish! “The last couple weeks on Priest have offered some good and really poor fishing. The water is currently only 4ft below summer pool, where is was almost 7ft. The water temperature ranges between 41-55 depending on where you are on the lake. Up lake crappie are being caught around Spring Creek on chartreuse jigs in 2ft-10ft and the bass have been biting plastic worms fished on shaky heads and topwater spooks! Down lake, both bass and crappie have been coming out of 15ft-30ft. The crappie have been biting live minnows fished off the bottom and the bass have been concentrating on points and humps in 10ft-25ft. Book your trip today! “The last several weeks have been crazy on Priest. The water level has been up, down, muddy, and clear, which makes it hard to stay on a consistent pattern. However, the bass have been feeding very heavily certain days……creating some great memories! Squarebill crankbaits, shaky heads, A-rigs, and rattle traps in 1ft-18ft have been the most productive.”
