Monday I fished with a fun father and son pair. The bass were not as agressive as Saturday, but we still managed to catch around 15, including several nice keepers! I finished up installing a Lowrance HDS 7, LSS-2 module, and transducers on a client’s boat today. Also installed a HDS 5 at the bow that is linked with the HDS 7. Today I fished with Larry and Steve. We had a BALL smoking the crappie on Crappie Magnets and catching a few bass on crankbaits and A-rigs! In just 3 hours we caught over 30, including 24 keepers! All the keepers were quality size and all were black crappie except for 1! Although it was cold it was a great day on the water. Put on some warm clothes and come get in on the action!

The last two days I’ve had the priviledge to fish with Travis Bettis(guitar player for Lee Brice), from Franklin, Tn. Today I fished on Normandy from 8am-3pm with BCGS guide, Trey Neal. We had a fantastic day catching over 20 crappie, including several in the 12″-15″ range! Today I fished from 1pm-5pm with two clients. Fishing for crappie it was really tough…..near impossible with the gusting winds and current from on the rain the day before. However, we did run into some feeding hybrids and almost limit out in 30 minutes!

Tuesday BCGS guide, Ben Malone, had an awesome day on the water with Tom Blackburn. Fishing for bass it was a tough day with several quality bites throughout the day. At the end of the day the GIANT hybrids turned on and they had a ball fighting one after another into the boat! Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!

Yesterday I had 3 trip. My first 2 trips were for crappie. Combined we caught 26 keepers on live minnows and Crappie Magnets. My 3rd trip was for bass. We had a blast catching 6 keepers and several shorter fish! Some bass were caught on swing head jigs and others on the Alabama rig, including 2 on one cast!!! Today was an awesome day fishing with Chet, one of the managers from Four Corners Marina. We started the morning casting to hundreds of schooling white bass! Once the bass died down we moved into our brushpiles and started catching crappie. In just 4.5 hours we caught 25 slab crappie! Friday evening, BCGS guide, Stephen Scoggin, fished with Jason and Mike from Nashville. They went out at dusk in search for stripers and hybrids. Fishing in 18ft of water with live bait they started off with a bang, catching 3 nice hybrids! The next couple hours they had several bites, but were unable to land any. Nice catch guys!

Past two days have been a blast .. Took my uncle an cousin out yesterday , Ken an Neal Travis. We ended up with 15 crappie, 2 nice catfish, an a few strips! Great day on the water guys! Also today I took out Mrs.Tambra from Texas. This morning was a little slow until I went over a brush pile I had not fish yet. We ended up catching 9 off of it ! Could of caught more but they was to quick on the strike. Lol, we was to busy taking other crappie off the hook ! What a great time!

Yesterday I fished with the Lawlers from Brentwood, Tn. We started the morning casting for bass, but after a tough first 2 hours we decided to switch over to crappie. Fun day on the water with Steve from Nashville. Fishing for bass we had a slow start, but ended up with several bites the last few hours. We were in hunt for smallmout and was able to catch 3 decent ones. Today I fished with John Ladwig from MN. Fishing for bass we had a tough day, but were manage to catch 8 bass, including 2 keeper(biggest 4.5lbs). All fish were caught on Tn -rigs and crankbaits in 3ft-6ft of water!

Freezing, windy day on the lake with good friend and BCGS guide Kevin Patin. Fishing with Crappie Magnets we caught around 20 white bass and 6 crappie fishing from 8:45am-12:15pm. Gotta love winter fishing!

Today was a very interesting day. It started with breaking 500 yards of ice to g et where we could fish. Finally, we arrived and started crappie fishing. In 6 hours we caught 2 fish……2 nice spotted bass. Both were caught on Crappie Magnets! Im ready for 32+ degree temperatures!
