Today I fished with Ray from Gallatin.  Fishing for crappie in the cold wind we caught aroun 16-18, including 9 keepers. Today fished a tournament out of Fate Sanders Marina. The bass were biting very well!  We caught around 15, including 7 keepers! Our best 5 weighed around 12lbs. Also, BCGS guide, William Brown, fishing with  Robert and Jan Short.  Fishing for crappie they had an awesome day with over 40 crappie including 25 keepers in just 4 hours!

Meanwhile on Percy Priest Lake, BCGS guide, Don Jarvis, fished with two great guys in hunt for some largemouth bass. Fishing in 2ft-5ft of water they caught several nice bass, including this 6 pounder! All fish were caught on topwater lure and crankbaits.  Nice catch guys!

My second trip was with the Waly’s, from Brentwood Tn.  Fishing for crappie we had a great trip with around 30, including 14 keepers!  This was their first time fishing EVER!  We had a super trip and will be seeing each other again soon!  Thanks guys!

My second trip was with regular client Jim Small.  With the temperatures climbing we decided to troll after catching enough crappie to make a meal of. What a great decision that was….30 minutes later Jim was fighting this giant! 20lb Flathead!   What a great day of memories!

Today I started my morning with regular clients Joe, Joe and Alison Cummings.  We hit the crappie first and in the first hour we caught all they needed for a fish fry!  With one goal completed we set down our crappie rods and picked up our bass rods.  We caught several bass on plastic worms in 2ft-4ft or water.  Thanks for another great trip guys!

Absolutely whacked the bass today!!! My first trip with Ron and Michael went great. We caught 15-18 bass, including several nice ones lured by flukes, crankbaits and buzzbaits. My second trip was even better. I fished with Bobby and Jason Hooper. We caught around 20, with several large fish, including a beautiful smallmouth! To top it off, we found a school of white bass and caught 25! Bombshell Turtles baby!

Yesterday, new BCGS guide Trey Neal and I fished with a great family.  In my boat we fished for crappie.  We caught over 70, including 31 keepers! Our crappie were caught with minnows and Crappie Magnets!  I had a great time with you guys! ———In Trey’s boat, they caught around 40 bass on flukes and topwater lures!  Nice catch guys!

Today I fished with David and Tim from Spring Hill, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had an okay day.  The morning started out great, catching around 8-10 bass on topwater lures. The next few hours were slow, catching one here and there.  At the end of the trip we found another school of bass and caught 8-10 more on soft plastics!  One of the lures that produces for us was the Bombshell Turtle!  It is now “turtle time” again……so go pick up a pack and start catching bass!  Thanks for a great time today guys!

Awesome morning with Carl, Michael and Steven Carson……all members of our armed forces! You guys did great, catching 25 keepers in just 3.5 hours! All fish caught on crappie magnets. Thanks for a great time today guys, but more importantly thank you for serving our country!

Today BCGS guide, William Brown, fished with three brothers, Greg, Johnny and Leroy. This was there 3rd time out with us and each time they have a blast.  This morning, in just four hours, they reeled in over 40 crappie, including 23 keepers!  Glad you guys were able to add to the crappie in your freezer for your big fish fry!

Also, today BCGS guide, Kevin Patin, fished with Kyle and Dana Benjamin.  Fishing for bass they had a great day with around 12 caught, with several giants lost.  They found their success on soft plastic in 4ft-12ft of water.  Glad to see you guys had such a good time! All bass safely released

Yesterday, BCGS guide, Kevin Patin went out for a fun day of fishing with his son.  They caught tons of fish that were schooling on baitfish. Crankbaits, flukes and osft plastics did the trick.  Nice sack guys!   The bass are on fire!

Today I fished with a family on vacation in Hendersonville, Tn.  Fishing for crappie it was a little slower on bites than yesterday, but ther larger crappie were biting!  Fishing with crappie magnets and live minnows, we caught around 25, including 15 keepers!  Thanks for a fun time on the water guys!

Yesterday I fished wih two great father and son pairs.  We caught between 30-40 crappie, including 14 keepers!  Nice job guys!

Yesterday BCGS guide, Jacob Jewell and I fished a Siegel football fundraiser tournament. The activity was hot in the morning, catching a limit very quickly.  The afternoon was slow, we probably caught 2 fish in 4 hours! But, the last hours was on fire again.  For the day we caught around 30, including 12 keepers and a 5 fish limit for 17.67lbs….landing us in another 2nd place finish!  We caught all of our fish on plastic worms and deep crankbaits.  What a fun day!

Yesterday BCGS guide, William Brown,  fished with Joseph, Elizabeth and Alexander.  Fishing for crappie they had an awesome morning with over 30, including 17 keepers! Alexander was able to catch this monster 2lb crappie for his 8th birthday!  Nice catch….Happy Birthday Alexander!

Today I had three trips!  My frist trip was with Larry, Donna, and Nicolas.  Not only was this Nicholas’s birthday trip, but it was also his first fishing trip ever!  We caught over 30, including 14 keepers…and Nicholas was able top catch his first fish EVER!  Thanks for a fun morning guys, great job!

My last trip of the day was with the Colemans.  Fishing for crappie we caught over 40, including 20 keepers!  Thanks for a wonderful time guys!

My second trip was with father and sons, Mike, Wes and Dusty.  Mike lives here in Middle Tn, Wes is from Fl and Dusty is from Tx.  Fishing for both bass and crappie we had a blast. We caught several bass on topwater baits, crankbaits, and sinkos. Our crappie were caught on the best crappie lures on the market “Crappie Magnets!” Thanks for a fun evening guys!

Yesterday I fished with Michael from Dallas, TX.  Fishing for  bass we had a great day with around 15-18, including 6 keepers!  Thanks for a great trip Michael!

Today I fished with John Devalk again!  We fished a few days ago and had a great day, so we decided to fish a tournament.  We had another exciting day with over 25 bass, including 10 keepers!  Our best five weighed 15.06lb…..just 1lb out of first place.  All of our fish came on plastics worms in 2ft-8ft of water.  Thanks for another memorable day John!   

Today I fished with the Hagman!  Fishing for crappie we caught a total of 79, including 36 keepers!  And the slabs were biting!  All of our fish were caught on Crappie Magnets and minnows.  Thanks for a great trip Jerry!  Nice hat!

Yesterday I fished with Keith and Caleb from CA.  They were in town for the CMA awards and decided to do some Nashville fishing….and what a great decision that was!  We caught 25 bass in just 4 hours!  Most of our fish were caught on plastic worms and crankbaits.  Thanks for such a fun trip guys!  Enjoy the concerts!

Today I fished with Chris and Hap from Jupiter, Fl.  They are staying at the cabins at Nashville Shores! Fishing for bass we had a great trip with several nice bass!  The bass are in transition, some are shallow and some are deep.  We found these fish in 5ft-10ft of water. Thanks for a great trip guys!

Today I fished with Brad and Amanda Lawler from Brentwood, Tn.  This was Brad’s second trip out with me! We started our trip fishing for bass.  The first 4 hours we had over a dozen bites, including 10 boated.  We found our fish in 1ft-3ft biting on topwater lures and jerkbaits.  The second half of our trip we fished for crappie. The wind was ripping over 25mph, but in just four hours we still caught over 40, including 17 keepers! Thanks for another great trip guys!

Today I fished with Rich, Ivan and Issac Cummings.  Fishing with livebait and Crappie Magnets(black and chartreuse), we caught around 30 fish, including crappie, bass, white bass, and hybrids!  Thanks for a great time on the water guys!!!  You did a fantastic job!

Yesterday was my first time on Old Hickory in a while.  Fishing with Tim Reed from Murfreesboro, we had an AWESOME day!  The first few hours were very slow…one here and there, but then we moved into the “honey hole!”  During the last few hours of our trip we caught near 40 bass in 1ft-3ft of water on Sinkos(fished both whacky and weightless T-rig). What a great time to get out on Old Hickory!

Yesterday, BCGS guide, Ed Martin, fished with Matt and Matt from OH.  Fishing for hybrids and stripers they had a great trip!  This was there first time catching hybrids and stripers!  Nice catch guys!

Yesterday I had three half day trips!  My first was with Joe, Bridgette and Michael.  Fishing for crappie we had a great trip with around 30, inculding 10 keepers and this 8lb hybrid!  Nice stringer guys!

My second trip with with Michael and Zach.  Fishing for crappie we had another great trip with around 30, including 12 keepers!  Super job today Zach…you did great!

My third trip was with Bill, Kathy and Alexandra Menkel from Franklin, Tn.  Fishing for both bass and crappie we had a fun day catching around 25 crappie, including 9 nice keepers and several bass on topwater lures!  Thanks for memorable trip guys!

Also, BCGS guide, William Brown, also had a trip today. He fished with father and son, Mark and Sam Robins, and good friend Justin Cummings.  Fishing for crappie they caught between 30-40, including 16 keepers!  Nice slabs guys!

Friday, BCGS guide, Ed Martin, fished with Bill. The stripers are starting to bite, they manage to boat this 13.5lb hybrid!  Nice catch Bill!

Friday I fished with client and great  friend Jim Small.  Fishing out of his pontoon boat, we caught around 20 crappie, including 9 keepers! Always a pleasure Jim!

Today BCGS had two trips! My trip was with Barry and Cheri Cameron.  Fishing for both bass and crappie we had a great day.  Our first hole produced a pair of nice largemouth bass on topwater baits.  Soon after we switched over to crappie.  We found the smaller crappie were the most active.  After a few hours we caught over 30, including 10 keepers(enough for dinner).  The last hour of our trip we switched back to bass and caught 6-8 more!  Thanks for a wonderful day on the lake guys!

Today I fished with Eric, Diana and Ben from Lebanon, Tn. Fishing for crappie we had a great morning……..before my trolling motor broke!  We only fished for 4 hours, but in that time we caught over 20, including 10 keepers.  Looking forward to finishing our trip soon!

Today I started the morning fishing with Allen and James from Nashville.  It was a wet day, but the fish were biting!  In just 4 hours we caught around 40 crappie, including almost 20 keepers!  Minnows caught a few, but the Crappie Magnet did the trick. Yesteday I fished with Jon and Eugene.  Fishing for crappie we had a good day with over 30, including 10 keepers, in just 4 hours!  The crappie are starting to bite better now that the lake in almost back to summer pool. Thanks for a fun day on the water guys!

Today I fished with Tim Reed from Murfreesboro.  Fishing for bass we had a tough trip.  The morning started with a bang, we boated 3 bass first 25 minutes…..caught on buzzbaits.  The next few hours we caught one here and there on plastic worms.  We were able to catch a few nice ones and enjoy great fellowship!  Thanks Tim…..See you in 2 weeks!

Today I fished with Bob and Harold from Brentwood, Tn.  Fishing crappie we had a great day.  We caught fish all day long for a grand total of 68 crappie.  However, with the cold front that just moved through the larger crappie seemed to be tough to catch.  Fishing with minnows and Crappie Magnets, we caught 12 keepers.  Out of the keepers, we had several giants, including these four below that were between 13″- 15″!  Thanks for a great day guys…..see you in June!

Yesterday I fished with Pat and Tracy from CA.  Fishing for crappie we had a great trip with over 40, including 12 keepers!  We fished in 12ft-22ft of water with live bait and Crappie Magnets!  Tracy also had the priviledge to reel in the 2.5lb bass!  Thanks for a fun day on the water guys!

Today I started the morning with Dave Shadwick from White House, Tn.  Fishing for crappie we had an okay day.  In addition to catching crappie, Dave wanted to spend time learning how to fish for crappie; finding brush, tight lining, casting, depth, etc. Our bites were scattered, I believe that was due to falling water and a cold front moving in.  Fishing with live bait and Crappie Magnets, we were able to catch 30-40 crappie with 15 keepers.  Thanks for an enjoyable day on the water Dave!

My second trip was with Dan and Kathy from Tx.  Fishing for crappie we had a more active afternoon.  We only fished a few brush piles and were able to catch 30+, including 10-12 keepers in just 4 hours!  Thanks for a great trip guys!

Another great day on Percy priest lake. Today I fished with Ron and Dorris Naron from Smyrna. Fishing for crappie we had a fun day with 40-50, including 21 keepers! The crappie magnet did the job today! Thanks for a exciting day guys!

BCGS guide, Jacob Jewell, was also out today. He caught around 12 fish, including a 5 fish limit for 16lbs! His success came from flipping bushes and topwater baits!

Today I fished with Dana and Jeff. This was their 4th time out with me and each time we have a blast. I’m not sure if they brought the luck, but the crappie finally turn on today! Fishing with the Crappie Magnet and minnows we caught 65 crappie, including almost 30 keepers! What a fun, beautiful day…….thanks guys! See you in a couple months!Today I fished with two Korean War Veterans that have not seen each other in 50 years! Jim is from Minnesota and Murphy is from Massachusetts. Fishing for bass we had a good day with 10-12 boated. We fished the edge of flooded trees in 3ft-6ft of water with sinkos and jigs! My second trip of the day was with Drew Hicks, from Nashville, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had a super trip!  Finally, we found a pattern where the bass were very active.  We caught around 15, including 5 hogs!  We fished in 1ft-4ft of water casting jigs, flukes, buzzbaits and spooks!  Thanks for another awesome bass trip Drew!

I started my day fishing for Bob and Jim. Fishing for crappie we had a fair morning with around 20. We used live minnows and crappie magnets. The water has dropped almost 2ft and the crappie are starting to get back to their normal patterns. The key is to find clearer water. Thanks for a great time guys!

Yesturday I fished with Brian and Tim.  Fishing for both bass and crappie we had a good day.  We caught around 20 crappie, including 9 keepers and 10 bass.  Our crappie were caught in 15ft-25ft of water on minnows and crappie magnets and our bass, flipping bushes with jigs and soft plastics.  Thanks for a great day guys!

Today I fished with Tim Reed from Murfreesboro, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had an okay day with around 10, including a pair of nice keepers!  The lake was up 7ft. We caught our fish flipping bushes with lizards.  Thanks for another fun day on the water Tim.

Yesterday’s trip was like an episode of Deadliest Catch, instead it could be called Deadliest Crappie! I fished with Lou, from Franklin, Tn. Fishing for crappie we quickly found ourselves parked on a bank waiting for the rain and lightning to blow over. After an hour, we made a run to another fishing hole and started reeling them in!!! We were soaked to the bone and bearing the cold north winds, but we managed to catch over 40 including, 20 keepers on the crappie magnet(charatruse and white) and live bait. Thanks for a fun, memorable trip Lou……see you next trip!!!!

Today my first trip was with Ken and Danny. This was their second time out with me and and each time we have a blast together!  We started the morning crappie fishing…..catching enough for them to have a fish fry.  We caught all of our fish on the Crappie Magnet and on live bait in 8ft-14ft.  Below is Danny with two more 15″ slabs…. GIANTS this year! 

My second trip was with Howie(father) from CO and Jason(son) from Franklin, Tn.  Fishing for crappie and bass we had a fun trip.  Again, we started catching crappie for them to have a fish fry.  After catching around 10 keepers, we switched over to bass and caught a couple on soft plastics!  Thanks for a fun afternoon guys!

Great day on Priest today with Zack and Chris from Franklin, Tn.  Fishing for bass we cuahgt over 20.  Our best five fish weighed over 14lbs and were caught on soft plastics(including a bass that pulled Zack’s rod off the boat and into 10ft of water.  First swipe with my telescopic pole and I snagged the line and got the pole back!  The 3lb largemouth was still on the other line)!  Thanks for a fun day guys!

Today I fished with Kyle Trotter from Murfreesboro, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had a fun morning, catching around 12 in 4 hours.  We caught all of our fish in 6ft-8ft of water on soft plastic lizards.  All Pro Rods make my job easier when teaching  people how to feel a bass bite!  Thanks for a great time Kyle!

Today I started my trips with the Williams.  Fishing for crappie we had a super trip with near 30 keepers, in just 4 hours!  We caught most of our fish in 5ft-10ft of water with minnows and the Crappie Magnet(purple and chartreuse).  The crappie are the largest I have seen in a while on Percy Priest Lake!  Thanks for a great trip guys!

My second trip was with Rick and Carson from MN.  Fishing for crappie we had a fun evening on the water with over 30 crappie, including 10 giant keepers!  Almost all of our keepers were between 12″-14″!!  Great job today Carson!

Also, BCGS guide, William Brown, had the privilege to fish with Everett from Murfreesboro.  William spent the day teaching Everett different crappie techniques.  They had a great time and caught 15 keepers in the process!

Today I fished with Steve again. We had an even better day today with over 60 crappie, including almost 40 keepers on the Crappie Magnet!  We fished a little deeper in 6ft-15ft.  Thanks for another super trip Steve!

BCGS guide, Hunter Carmichael, fished a tournament on Old Hickory Lake yesterday.  He finished in 3rd place with these beautiful largemouth bass!

Today I had a great day on Percy Priest with Steve from Hendersonville. This was Steve’s 3rd time out with me and we always have a fun day on the water. We caught over 50 crappie, including 21 keepers! We caught our fish on Crappie Magnets and minnows in 3ft-16ft. We focused on wood cover today!

Yesterday was one of the most challenging days of  fishing I have ever had.  The fishing was great and the clients were even better, but I woke yesterday morning and quickly found myself kneeling over the toilet bowl with a stomach bug.  Although the weakness and discomfort was against me, I felt like I could get through the day.  Thankfully the fishing was great which made it easy on me—-

My first trip was with Drew, Hunter, Morgan and Megan.  Fishing for crappie we had a great trip.  We fished with minnows and the Crappie Magnet in 2ft-6ft of water.  We found coves with larger rock were the most productive!

My second trip was with TN striper legend, Don Schleicher,  Centerman for Nashville Predators, Mike Fisher and cousin, Warren Peterson.  Fishing for crappie we had a super trip.  We started the afternoon fishing shallow, where the crappie have been on fire the past few weeks, but with the rising water and cooler night temps, they stayed out deeper.  We caught all of our fish casting the Crappie Magnet in 8ft-12ft of water.  Thanks for great time guys…good luck next year Mike, GO PREDS!

Today I had the privilege to fish with the Price, Alison, Katie, John and Hanna Hartman. Fishing for crappie we had a super trip!  Yes, it was a full boat, but all three kids were GREAT at casting and we were able to catch over 40, including 27 keepers, in just 5 hours!  We found our crappie in 2ft-6ft of water. We caught all our fish casting Crappie Magnets and using minnows with floats!  Thanks for a memorable trip guys!

Yesterday BCGS guide, William Brown, fished with Colby Roy.  They had a great trip with tons of crappie, including 15 keepers!  Nice catch Colby!

Today I had two trips. My first trip was with Jeff and John.  We started the morning fishing for bass.  Right off the bat Jeff caught this 5lb largemouth on a popper!  The next two hours we caught come decent bass here are there.  The last hour we crappie fished and caught over 25, including 15 keepers on the Crappie Magnet!  Thanks for a great time guys!

Today I fished with father and son, Emmit and Brad Lawler from Brentwood, Tn.  Fishing for both bass and crappie we had a great day!  The wind blew us around all day and made it a little hard to bass fish the main lake, so we retreated to coves and creeks and caught around 12 with a few decent ones on soft plastics. After lunch we crappie fished and put almost 30 keepers in the livewell.  All fish were on the Crappie Magnet!  Thanks for a great time guys….see you in a few weeks!

Today I had the privilege to fish with Rick and Jackson.  Today is Jackson’s 16th birthday and our trip was his gift!  We started the morning fishing for bass, catching several decent ones and losing a few bigger fish.  Around lunch we switched over to crappie so they could have a fish fry.  We caught a couple dozen with near 12 keepers!  Thanks for a fun time on the water guys!  Happy Birthday Jackson!

BCGS guide, William Brown, was also out today with two brothers, Hugh and Leon.  They had a SUPER trip with over 50, including 33 keepers!

Today I fished with the Armstrongs. It was a special day fishing with their 4 and 6 year old daughters.  We caught several crappie on minnows and the Crappie Magnets.   Thanks for a great morning girls……you did great!!!

Yesterday, BCGS had several trips out again. I fished with Pat and Barry, who were visit on a turkey hunt.  We fished for crappie and caught 35, including 28 keepers!  All fish were caught on the Crappie Magnet in 3ft-6ft of water.  Thanks for a great trip guys!

BCGS guide, Hunter Carmichael, had the privilege of taking out four baseball players traveling through Nashville.  They caught over 50 fish, including 20 keeper crappies!  All fish were released, but we were able to gather a couple pictures!  Glad you guys had a great trip!

After the trip was over, Hunter went back out and hooked into this GIANT 15lb hybrid on 10lb test!

Today BCGS had several trips go out.  My morning started with Scott Hudson. We fished for bass and had a tough trip.  We only caught 5, but had a few nice ones.  We fished with soft plastics for a while with a few bites and later caught all are fish on crankbaits and T-rigs. My second trip was with Hugh and Keith.  Fishing for crappie our success increased.  We found the crappie to be more active, especially in 4ft-10ft.  Almost all of our crappie came casting the Crappie Magnet, but with did catch a few on minnows.  Thanks for another great trip guys!  See you on the 20th!

This afternoon William and I had the pleasure to fish the Wendts(this is their 6th time out with us), from Murfreesboro.  Fishing for crappie we had a super trip with over 50, including 30 keepers!  We caught most of our crappie deeper in 10ft-15ft, but recieved reports from other fishermen that some crappie have started moving into shallow water! Today I spent the day with the one and only “Hagman!”  The cool temperatures and high winds made it hard to find a comfortable, active, spot to fish, but after checking a few areas we were able to catch 25-30, including 13 keepers! The Crappie Magnet and live bait did the trick in 5ft-15ft.  Thanks Jerry……nice hat!

Yesterday I fished with Jim and Lindia Banker from Bellevue, Tn.  Fishing for crappie we had a fun trip with around 25, includung 13 keepers and 1 giant hybrid! The cold wind was brutal, but we managed to find an area out of the wind where the crappie were eating The Crappie Magnet. My second trip was with Drew Hicks from Bellevue, Tn.  Drew came out with his girlfriend two weeks ago. We had a super trip then and today’s trip was even better!  In just 4 hours we caught over 30 crappie, including 21 keepers on The Crappie Magnet and minnows!

Today I had two trips. My first was with Ken Hunter from Iowa.  Fishing for crappie we had a good trip with around 40, including 12 keepers! All of our fish came on minnows and The Crappie Magnet(trolling and casting).  Thanks for a great trip Ken! —– My second trips was with Todd and Michael Cole.  A few weeks ago Michael and his grandfather(Mike) came out with me. We had a super time and caught several nice bass.  Today we fished for 4 hours and caught over 20 crappie including 12 keepers in 4ft-8ft of water!  Minnows and The Crappie Magnet did the trick!

Saturday, BCGS guide, Kevin Patin had a morning trip with two great clients.  The starting temperature was in the 30’s, slowing the bite down.  They still managed to catch around 30, including 15 keepers tight lining minnows in 10ft-16ft!

BCGS guide, William Brown, also had a trip Saturday with Ron and Jeff from Nashville.  Fishing for crappie they had the best trip of the day with over 50 crappie, including 28 keepers!  They found their success fishing 6ft-12ft on minnows and soft plastics.  Nice catch guys!

Today I fished with Sam and Lisa Magee from Smyrna, Tn.  Fishing for crappie we had a fantastic day, spring fishing is finally here!

Also, BCGS guide, Jacob Jewell, and a friend were out today fishing an Emergency Managment Service tournament on Priest and finished in 3rd place with 14.58lbs! Great finish guys!

Yesterday I fished with Jeff from Hendersonville, Tn.  Fishing for bass our day started out slow, catching four little ones the first four hours.  Luckily the second half of the day was better.  We fished an area where we caught 5, including several nice bass!  All fish were caught on shaky heads, crankbaits and Tn-rig!  Thanks for a fun day Jeff!

Wednesday I fished with Chris and Andrew from Franklin, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had a good day. We never had a consistent area, we received bites here and there.  For the day we caught 8 bass, with a couple decent ones.  These guys were great fishermen and I had a blast fishing with them!  Nice catch guys! Keep those grades up!

Today BCGS guide, Kevin Patin and I fished the Renegade tournament on Percy Priest Lake.  We caught around 12 fish, including 5 keepers for 17.51lbs, landing us in 2nd place! Our success came in 4ft-14ft of water on jigs, soft plastics and crankbaits.  Great way to start the 2013 season!

Today I fished with Hugh Jones from Murfreesboro, TN.  Fishing for bass we had a good morning with around 6 bass including 3 giant keepers!  We found our fish in 6ft-12ft, biting on soft plastics and crankbaits! Thanks for another great time Hugh…see you in March!

Yesterday I fished with John and Dakota from Wisconsin.  Fishing for bass we had a tough day.  The wind was blowing, the temperature was freezing and we fought the elements all day. We only caught around 6-8 bass, with no giants.  We caught our fishing on soft plastics in 4ft-8ft of water.

BCGS guide, Kevin Patin, was out fun fishing with a friend as well and they really got into the bass!  They fished the other end of the lake and caught 20 bass, including 5 keepers for 15lbs! Great sack guide!  ———  Also, BCGS guide, Hunter Carmichael was out bass fishing.  He reported a tough day with a few short fish, but he did manage to catch this 5+ hog at the end of the day!

Today I fished with a past client of mine.  Fishing for bass we had a good day with several keepers!  A few bass came from drop-offs near deep water and a few came out of shallow water on crankbaits.  Thank for a great day!

Also, BCGS guide, Kevin Patin, was out today on the other end of the lake.  He boated around 15 bass and had a limit of 5 for 12lbs!  Nice catch Kevin!

Today I fished with Mike and Michael Cole.  Fishing for bass we had an okay day.  We only had a few bites, but Michael landed the two nice ones!  We caught all of our fish on crankbaits in 2ft-4ft of water!  Thanks for a great time on the water guys!  Great job Michael!

Today BCGS guide, Hunter Carmichael went out for a fun day on the lake.  Fishing with shallow crankbaits, Hunter scored several bass throughout the day, including these 3 toads!!!  When I asked Hunter what he caught them on, he sent me this picture, “Match the hatch!”

Yesterday I fished with the Hagman.  The crappie bite was kind of scattered for us.  We started off with a bang fishing in 8ft of water and then the bite slowed down. The rest of the day we caught crappie in shallow and deep brush with minnows.  For the day we caught 30 with 9 keepers.  The highlight of the day was reeling in this 1.82lb slab!!!

Today BCGS guide, Kevin Patin, had a great day of fishing with a dear friend.  Kevin reports catching around 12 bass, including a 6lb, 4.5lb, 3.5lb and 3lb largemouth! Nice catch Kevin!

Yesterday I fished with Tim Reed, from Murfreesboro, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had a great day.  The morning started off with a bang, catching a near 4lb largemouth the first 15 minutes and then a 2.5lbs moments later! During the next three hours we secured our limit!  We found our fish in 3ft-6ft on windy banks.  Most of our bites came on crankbaits and TN rig, but a few short fish on shaky heads.  For the day we caught with 6 keepers, our best 5 weighing 13lbs! Thanks for another great time on the water Tim! Today I fished with Vinny Engongoro from CT.  It was a brisk cold day, but we stayed out of the wind for the most part and in the sunshine.  We fishing for 5.5hrs with shaky heads, jigs and jerkbaits in 6ft-8ft of water.  We caught around 10 bass and lost around 5.  For 30-35 degrees….not too bad.  Thanks for a fun day on the water Vinny!  See you in March!

Today I fished with Jimmy Yates from Murfreesboro, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had a great day with 12-15 bass, including 4 keepers!  All fish were caught on crankbaits, jigs, shaky heads and drop shot in 6ft-12ft of water.  The gates are open at the dam and the lake is lowering again.  When planing your next trip to Priest, consider water current and how the fish position themselves…..this will help you find the bass faster!  Thanks for a great trip Jimmy!

Today I fished with Troy from Antioch, Tn.  Fishing for bass we had an okay day. The water has raised 6ft in the last 6 days and conditions have definitely changed on Priest.  We started the day checking water clarity around Fate Sanders Marina, finding mostly chocolate milk.  We finally found some clearer water and started casting crankbaits and shaky heads.  In 5 hours we caught 6 bass and had a few missed opportunities.  Thought the fishing would have been a little more active, but I think the high pressure and clear blue skies after the front moved through had then inactive.  Nevertheless, we had a fun day on the water!

Today I fished with Randy Dempsey.  Fishing for bass from 8am-12pm we caught around 12 bass in 4ft-8ft of water on crankbaits and jerkbaits.  It was a wet day, but we still had a blast.  Thanks Randy!

BCGS guides Jacob Jewell and Hunter Carmichael with a 3rd place finish today in Mike’s Saturday morning tournament. They had near 15lbs, with big fish of tournament at 6.23lbs! They were 1/2lb from winning. Great sack guys!!!! Shallow crankbaits did the trick.

I also went out for 3 hours this morning and had an okay trip with 6 largemouths caught on soft plastics!
